UKIYO-E ART
Guess you probably have seen the artwork above. This iconic Ukiyo-e piece is called the Great Wave off Kanagawa, by Katsushika Hokusai. The flat, 2-dimentional artwork, however, amazingly captures the dynamic motion of waves.
Nowadays there are multiple approaches to make an ukiyo-e style artwork. People use laptops, watercolors, woodpencils instead of the traditional woodblock print. The left is a modern one, more bold and detailed than traditional ones.
